ROUND TABLE

 The second roundtable about the Monaco Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai was held on Monday 20 January. Albert Croesi, Managing Director of Monaco Inter Expo (MIE), presented the Monaco Pavilion to partners and stakeholders from the worlds of politics, the economy and culture who will go out to Dubai between 20 October 2020 and 10 April 2021. RECORDING SESSION 

MONTE-CARLO PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

In a sign that Monegasque organisations are heavily involved with EXPO 2020 DUBAI, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra is already hard at work!

Maestro Kazuki Yamada has agreed to record the music for the Monaco Pavilion, which was composed by Dédé Truqui, as well as the score for the final show, co-written with Didier Benetti.

MONACO PAVILION + EXCLUSIVE BRAND TORINO

Monaco Inter Expo (MIE) signed this morning, in the Congress Center of the Industrial Union of Torino, a partnership with Exclusive Brands Torino* (EBT), and their participation at EXPO 2020 DUBAI as an Official Partner of the Pavilion.
The President of this network of companies of Excellence from the Piedmont region, Paolo Pininfarina, and the Deputy Commissioner General of Section Monaco, Alexandre Bocquillon, took place during an economic mission organised by Monaco Chamber of Commerce.

GROUNDBREAKING

Wednesday October 15th 2019 marked the beginning of the construction phase for Monaco Pavilion at EXPO 2020 DUBAI. Until spring, a team of workers will be on site, day and night to build, from scratch, what will become Monaco Pavilion 360, “A World of Opportunities”. After spring, as the temperatures could reach up to 45 degrees, Monaco Pavilion teams will finalise the inside areas of the Pavilion such as the exhibition space, the main show room the shop and the restaurant.

RECRUITMENT

On Wednesday 2 October 2019, Mr. Albert Croesi, Managing Director of Monaco Inter Expo (MIE) presented Monaco's 2020 Pavilion in Dubai to candidates who had applied to join his staff. (…) It was followed by individual interviews with the candidates. Other presentations of this type will be given until next spring (…). EXPO SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

From April 29th to May 6th, Monaco Inter Expo, in charge of the participation of Monaco at EXPO 2020 DUBAI, and its team of scenographers, facts & fictions, flew to the Emirates for an International Participants Meeting and the discovery of the building site of EXPO. The huge construction site reflects the magnitude of this world event. From Al Wasl Plaza and Thematic Pavilions, to the 192 Country Pavilions across the site, there will be architecture for every taste and interest at Expo 2020.

OFFICIAL PRESENTATION

MONACO PAVILION AT EXPO 2020 DUBAI

On Wednesday 27 February, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Sheikh Abdallah Ben Zayed Al Nahhyan, the Pavilion that will showcase the Principality of Monaco at the next World Expo in Dubai in 2020 was presented by H.E. Ms. Mireille Pettiti, President of Monaco Inter Expo and Albert Croesi, General Commissioner of Monaco's Pavilion in Dubai. Monaco's Pavilion will be on the theme of "Monaco 360°, a World of Opportunities."  It will occupy an area of 1,700 m2 and has been designed to surprise and fascinate visitors.  It will be built by Olivier Deverini, in association with the OOS agency, and run by Facts & Fictions.  (…)

MONACO PAVILION / ALCATEL-LUCENT

Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, gave a welcoming address to the 1,000 or so employees and guests who had gathered at the Grimaldi Forum for two days to celebrate the centenary of the Alcatel Lucent Enterprise (ALE).  This anniversary was an opportunity for the Group's management to present a vision of an innovative, futuristic company for the next 100 years, in five key areas:  the public sector, e-Transport, e-Education, e-Health and e-Hotels. PARTICIPATION CONFIRMATION

On 21 December 2017, Monaco officially confirmed that it would participate in Expo 2020 Dubai. The participation contract was signed in Dubai by Albert Croesi, General Commissioner of the Monaco Pavilion, and Najeeb Mohammed Al-ali, Executive Director of the Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau. During the course of the six-month-long event, Monaco will present its strengths and status as a meeting point where ideas, people and technologies come together and connect. (...)
